Dentures & Partials What to Expect

If you are missing all of your teeth, or need most of your teeth extracted, a denture can help you rebuild your smile. Dr. Gil’s goal is to rebuild the oral foundation first – restoring any damage done to the jaw or gum tissue. Once oral health is restored a custom denture is designed to comfortably fit your unique measurements for a secure fit.

If implants are being used, Dr. Gil will coordinate your surgical placement. The implants will be surgically placed into the jaw bone and allowed to heal. Implants typically take 3-6 months to fully integrate with the jaw bone creating a stable hold.

Patients will return to Dr. Gil’s office throughout the healing process to ensure a safe and successful implantation. During this time patients are typically provided with a temporary denture.

Once the implants have fully healed, Dr. Gil will create a custom denture. Denture materials are now more life-like and are highly durable and stain and decay resistant. The denture can be color matched and shaped to enhance your features and create a beautiful, confident smile.
