PERSONAL LIFE

Dr. Leckemby is from Montgomery County and grew up in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. She moved to Scranton for college where she attended the University of Scranton, majoring in Biochemistry. She then graduated from dental school in Philadelphia at Temple University and relocated to the Lehigh Valley to complete a general practice residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Bethlehem. She joined HDD immediately after completing her residency and is happy to continue to put down roots in the Lehigh Valley.

Dr. Leckemby’s interest in dentistry began at a young age and is deeply rooted in personal experience. Her older sister, Bridget, who was born with an intellectual disability, received care through Special Smiles in Philadelphia after facing significant barriers to dental treatment. Bridget required multiple extractions due to limited access to appropriate dental care and a lack of oral health education for caregivers of patients with special needs. Special Smiles was Bridget’s first experience with comprehensive dental care and education, and it played a pivotal role in preserving her long-term oral health. Witnessing the impact of that care inspired Dr. Leckemby’s passion for dentistry and her commitment to helping others.

Dr. Leckemby finds dentistry to be an incredibly rewarding profession and appreciates that each day brings new challenges and opportunities. She especially enjoys hands-on patient care, restoring confidence through healthy, beautiful smiles, and building long-lasting relationships with her patients. She approaches dentistry as a partnership—working collaboratively with each patient to achieve outcomes that align with their individual goals.

Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Leckemby stays current with the rapidly evolving field of dentistry through ongoing continuing education. She is a member of the Elevated GP platform, which offers monthly educational meetings focused on modern clinical topics, and she is also enrolled in The Dawson Academy, where she continues to advance her skills in comprehensive, predictable dental care—even in complex cases.

Outside of the office, Dr. Leckemby enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Nick. In between wedding planning, they love walking around Main Street Bethlehem and never miss a stop at Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop. She also enjoys watching Dancing with the Stars and is a proud old-school Taylor Swift fan.
